Job Description:
CBS Interactive is looking for software talent in New York City. If you`re web savvy and would like to work with a small group of engineers on an important and growing product, we`d like to talk to you.
The Revenue Technology team builds the systems that manage media orders and deliver online ads across domestic CBS Interactive web sites. These systems are revenue critical and performance sensitive, requiring skill in specification, coding, and testing.
We are continually adding to our distributed processing cluster, real-time web services, and data mart to keep up with a dynamic industry.
Responsibilities:
· Design robust and innovative implementations of new systems and tools
· Integrate new features and bug fixes in existing code
· Define and meet realistically aggressive project milestones
· Keep up with chosen technology areas and incorporate the good stuff
· Participate in system support in rotation with other engineers
Required Skills/Experience
· Expertise in Java or C++, Python or Perl, and SQL
· Proficiency in Unix, XML
· Exposure: Sybase, Oracle
· Good communication, project, and teamwork skills
· Enthusiasm and proven ability
· Strong problem solving and debugging skills
· Must successfully pass a background check
Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in a computer-related field (or equivalent training and experience) and 2 years industry experience.
